Refined, roomy, and ready for every page you’ll fill.
The Confidant (A5 Trifold) is handcrafted from full-grain, Italian vegetable-tanned leather that only gets softer and richer with time. Its folded design offers added protection and structure, with just enough room to carry more—perfect for those who journal often, plan in detail, or keep multiple notebooks close at hand.
Inside, it holds 4–6 notebooks (depending on ribbon setup), ready for your thoughts, sketches, lists, or to-dos.
Customizable with your choice of elastic color, optional grommets, and embossing. Made to order, one at a time, with care and intention to last for years.
*Please allow 2–3 weeks for your journal to ship.
** A friendly note for non-U.S. customers: Please note that customs duties, taxes, and import fees aren’t included in the price and may apply upon delivery. These charges are set by your country and are the buyer’s responsibility.
About Your Palisky Journal
About Your Palisky Journal
Made by hand and made to last, this is more than just a notebook — it’s a place for your thoughts, lists, sketches, and stories.
Each one is crafted in North Carolina from full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced from two Tuscan tanneries. The leather softens with use, deepens in color, and develops a patina that reflects your everyday life.
Refillable and built for the long haul, it’s a journal that’s both personal and practical — ready to grow with you.

About the Leather
About the Leather
We use full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather from two tanneries in Tuscany, Italy — both certified by the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium (Pelle al Vegetale), a mark of authenticity, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
This traditional tanning method uses only natural materials like tree bark, leaves, and roots — never harsh chemicals. It takes weeks to complete, but the result is leather that’s rich in character, built to last, and meant to evolve with you.
The hides are uncorrected and natural, so no two journals are exactly alike. You might notice variations in grain, shifts in tone, or the occasional mark from the animal’s life. These aren’t flaws, they’re part of the story, and what makes each piece truly one-of-a-kind. Over time, your journal will develop a soft sheen and a deep patina, becoming even more personal with use.
We work with two distinct leather finishes:
- Used for our year-round color range. This leather has a lightly waxed, smooth surface with a touch of firmness, giving structure while still feeling supple.
- Used for some limited seasonal colors. This leather has a velvety-matte surface and a softer, more pliable feel, while still being cut to the same thickness as our other leathers for durability.
Every piece is made to be carried for decades, wearing in, not out.
